Quantity breaks

"Buy more, save more" options on the product page: 1 bottle, 2 bottles (save 15%), 3 bottles (save 25%). The shopper picks one and the right quantity goes into the cart.

1. Add the block

1. Theme editor → open a product page → Product information section → Add block → Quantity breaks.
2. General settings:
   • Heading, for example Bundle & save.
   • Layout: Vertical (one option per row) or Horizontal (side by side).
   • Preselected tier: the option that's ticked when the page opens. Tier 2 is a good default.
   • Show price per item and Show savings badge.
3. For each tier (up to 4):
   • Quantity: how many items. Leave tier 4 empty to hide it.
   • Title and Subtitle, for example 2 bottles / Free shipping.
   • Badge, for example Most popular.
   • Discount (%): the saving to show. This is display only.
   • Image (optional).
   • Free gift product (optional): added to the cart together with this tier.

Remove the separate Quantity block from the product page when you use quantity breaks, so shoppers don't see two quantity pickers.

2. Create one discount per tier

For each tier with a discount, create Discounts → Create discount → Amount off products:

When a shopper buys 3, both discounts qualify. Shopify applies the better one (25%), as long as they aren't set to combine with each other.

Many products, same tiers?

Choose a collection under "Applies to" instead of one product. Note that Shopify then counts items across the whole collection: 1 serum + 1 cream counts as 2.

Free gift on a tier

If a tier has a Free gift product, the gift is added together with the products. Make it free with Buy X get Y:

• Customer buys: Minimum quantity of items = the tier quantity, from this product.
• Customer gets: 1 × the gift product, Free, maximum 1 use per order.

Check it

Pick each tier, add to cart and open checkout. The price per item at checkout should match what the block showed. If it doesn't, the discount is missing, inactive or blocked by another discount. See My discount doesn't work.
