Launch checklist
Go through this list before you remove your store password. Most "the theme is broken" moments after launch come from one of these.
Theme
- [ ] Every home page section has your own images. No placeholder drawings left.
- [ ] Sample reviews removed or replaced with real ones.
- [ ] Logo, favicon and color schemes set.
- [ ] License key added in Theme settings → License (how).
- [ ] Menus set up (header and footer).
- [ ] Contact page email address changed to yours.
- [ ] Open your store on a phone and click through home → collection → product → cart.
Offers and discounts
- [ ] Every offer you show in the theme has a matching Shopify discount. See How offers work. The theme shows offers; Shopify's discounts make them real at checkout.
- [ ] Test each offer with a real cart and go to checkout to see the final price.
- [ ] Any code in your popup (for example
WELCOME10) exists in Discounts. - [ ] Discounts that should stack have Combinations turned on. Discounts that shouldn't, don't.
Outside the theme
Shopify styles these pages itself; the theme can't change them:
- [ ] Checkout: match it to your store in Settings → Checkout → Customize. Pick your colors and fonts. Oriel's default fonts (Cormorant and Jost) are both in the checkout font list.
- [ ] Policies: add a Refund policy, Terms of service and Shipping policy in Settings → Policies. If you use the cart's terms checkbox, its links point to these.
- [ ] Store email: set the address that receives contact form messages in Settings → Store details.
Speed
- [ ] Images uploaded at a sensible size (around 2000–2500 px wide for full-width images is plenty).
- [ ] Remove apps you don't use. Apps add code to every page.
